How have y’all been this week? I can’t quite believe how fast Sunday rolls around. It’s starting to feel really like autumn now, with the leaves turning beautiful colours and the weather tuning colder.
When the weather gets cold I do like to have a large pot of soup on the hob. (I actually get quite obsessed with soup, I just LOVE it!!).
I attended the new brush lettering workshop at The Modern Calligraphy Co near Chichester. (The photo is of some of the work we did there) The very lovely Maisie Minett taught the class and had some lovely hints and tips for success with brush lettering. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening out.
I ordered one of these from Amason.
I have been following Studio McGee for a while now. Shea McGee started an interior design business a few years ago and it has gone from strength to strength. Her style is simple and elegant and right up my street. Shea and Sid (her husband) have brought out a new Netflix show. I am so excited to watch it.
Bake off this week was Chocolate week and the Handy Husband was very keen that I made chocolate brownies. Now I don’t really like chocolate or brownies so I don’t really know how they should be, but lets just say the first batch I made weren’t up to Paul Hollywood standards. Luckily second time around I nailed it - phew! I used Nigella’s recipe
We are off to Aldeburgh next week for a short break. We had booked this little cottage with Best of Suffolk. We had booked for April, but for obvious reasons had to change it for this October.
Looking for some pumpkin carving inspiration for next week.
